Title: Kiss The Sky
Summary: Steve's not sure where he is, or how he got there, or why there's a tentacle there
, but at least he's having fun.
Warnings: Dubious consent; inadvertent/involuntary (but not, I think it's important to differentiate, unwelcome
) drug use.
Notes: Originally written for the Dubious Consentacles throwdown
on tumblr, a competition designed to increase the number of fics with the Dubious Consentacles tag on AO3 and get the tag canonized. A history of how it came about may be found here
. I am pleased to say Kiss The Sky was the contest winner! Here at Dreamwidth | Here at AO3
We look on History’s face through crystal eyes
Surrounded by a thousand clacking gears
Which keep a record of our scars on her
In magnet tapes and discs. Down through the years
Will little tape-wheel rounds read easier
Than painted walls which heard Iskander sing?
(Fate, History’s sister, never promised us
More kindness than she showed Etruscan kings.)

Title: Mint In Box
Rating: PG (Clint/Coulson)
Summary: Phil no longer owns a Captain America board game, but the trade-off is acceptable.
Beta credit: Thanks to , , and for betas!
Notes: This was actually cowritten, at least to start, by myself and raiining on tumblr, after I posted an image of the Captain America board game that used to be advertised in Avengers comics back in the sixties.

This is a compendium of the "Hydrocodone Midnight Theatre" posts I did while I was recovering from surgery in late November. Essentially I would sit up after my folks went to bed and write fanfic to various prompts while tripping out on my (prescribed!) painkillers. tehnakki:
I love how suggestible you are when stoned! I should have spent today preparing weird fic ideas to take advantage of you in this state.copperbadge:
I’m spending like the next four days on high doses of opiates, so you’ve got time...

Title: The Best Bad Ideas
Summary: When Clint Barton put on the Captain America costume for a mission, he didn't count on Phil Coulson's reaction. Coulson didn't count on Clint crashing his new team to do something about it.
Notes: This was semi-inspired by a throwaway line in I Shall Not Want Honour In Heaven
where Fury is considering putting Clint Barton in the Cap costume before Steve is found. It turned into a terrifying romantic comedy with telepaths. I can't explain it. Also, because it's a bit of a mashup, I ignored the "there are no telepaths/kinetics in AoSverse" thing.
Warnings: While I wouldn't actually warn for consent issues on this one, the whole thing is a little heightened by how concerned with consent/coercion Coulson is, so tread cautiously. Also warning for kidnapping. It's a very strange story. Here at Dreamwidth | Here at AO3
Title: If I Don't Wake Up Dead
Summary: Clint Barton -- subby, ex-carnie white trash, spy -- isn't the kind of guy Captain America goes for. Nobody informed Captain America of this.
Notes: Written as a very belated birthday gift for Arsenic. I hope you like it, bb!
Beta Credit, JESUS: and did beta-reading and squeeing for me. :D
Warnings: Descriptions of extreme injury; discussion of control and self-esteem issues; mention of potential eating disorder. Strong themes of domination and submission. Description of semi-traumatic sub-drop.

Title: Angry Genius White Noise
Rating: PG-13 (language)
Summary: One of Pepper’s favorite activities after a long day is putting on sci-fi movies and watching Tony dissect their bad science. He’ll happily spend two hours curled up against her and ranting about the flawed central plan in Armageddon and how REALLY, HE HOPES AN ASTEROID HEADS FOR EARTH, HE’LL SHOW HOLLYWOOD HOW TO REALISTICALLY AVOID AN EXTINCTION-LEVEL EVENT, DAMMIT. Pepper finds it oddly relaxing, like angry genius white noise. Add in Bruce, and she could sell tickets.

Title: Coulson's Eleven
Summary: After Vanko destroyed the Stark Expo, SHIELD instituted a Superhuman Detention program, designed to capture and hold dangerous people -- dangerous people like Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and others who made themselves noticeable. The superhumans SHIELD has imprisoned -- and some SHIELD agents themselves -- have other ideas about what constitutes 'dangerous'...
Notes: This is the brainchild of assvengrrs on Tumblr, who suggested an AU
which entranced me so much I had to write a fic. The concept and some of the dialogue from this fic come from that post. At Dreamwidth | At AO3
The fic is seven chapters; the links take you to chapter one at their respective sites.
Title: Interdimensional Incidents
Summary: When Steve Rogers saw Sif of Asgard chop a Frost Giant's head off, love was sure to follow. It's just your typical Boy Meets Goddess story.
Notes: I'm pretty sure Jean is to blame for this.

Title: I Shall Not Want Honour In Heaven
Fandom: Captain America/MCU
Summary: Peggy Carter's life after the war: Howard Stark, Gabriel Jones, SHIELD, and a little boy named Nicholas.
Warnings: References to era-specific racism.
Notes: Title from the TS Eliot poem "A Cooking Egg". In comic book canon, Peggy Carter and Gabriel Jones both joined SHIELD, and eventually fell in love...Here at AO3 | Here at Dreamwidth
Title: Homicide Love
Warnings: Gore, extreme violence, mentions of rape.
Summary: Mike has been waiting all his life for someone who understands -- but Harvey might care too much to survive.
Notes: Written to a prompt
at the Suits Meme: Basically, Serial Killer Mike? He has access to big bad guys now, what does he do with that? I would love this to be slash, meld this story as you see fit anon.
With debts to Dexter, American Psycho, and Hannibal (the books primarily, but the screen media as well). Here at AO3 | Here at Dreamwidth
Title: Hawkeye and Anklebiter
Summary: Clint wants to give his kid the world. Isobel's not complicated; she'll settle for a couple of superheroes and a train set.
Notes: Dr Kara requested "Single-dad Clint/Coulson
" and while I'd seen Coulson as a dad in fanfic, I'd never seen Clint, so.
Warnings: Very brief mentions of PTSD and child abuse. Less brief mentions of grief and mourning.
I'm not sure really how to mention this without spoiling, but uh. There's a happy ending, ok? Happy ending. Keep it in mind. Here at Dreamwidth | Here at AO3

Title: Hard Rock Swing
Rating: PG/R (R in the last part only)
Warnings: Some discussion of depression/PTSD including references to suicidal ideation.
Summary: It turns out, in the 21st century, Steve's best friend is an eighteen-year-old genius named Tony Stark. This might be trouble.
Notes: Written for Ironfries on tumblr, who wanted a young Tony with an older Steve. It incorporated many from the List Of Marr's Favourite Things, which I deduced by reading her Tumblr: Tony being tiny, age differences, Steve crying, butts, and blankets (many). Here on AO3 | Here on Dreamwidth

Title: Ain't Nobody's Business If I Do
Summary: The year is 1930, Prohibition and the Depression are both in full swing, and Chicago Police Detective Steve Rogers has his hands full. There's a dead body on the banks of Lake Michigan, the entire city's legal system is corrupt, and the king gangster of the North Side, Tony Stark, has taken more than a passing interest in him.
Warnings: Some mild era-specific *ism; internalized homophobia. Story at Dreamwidth | Story at AO3Art at Tumblr | Art at dA
Title: Feed The Body, Nourish The Soul
Rating: PG (language)
Summary: Steve Rogers just wanted to sell good, nourishing, cheap food from his food truck. Now the crazy fusion chefs from TOBRU are calling him a hipster, the avant garde restaurant "Shield" across the street has declared war on chains, and...well, then there's Thor, who thinks Steve's habit of licking food is weird. Title: The Epic of T. Stark Lokason, Adventurer
Summary: An account of a lord of Midgard, Sir Anthony Stark Howardson, the crimson iron knight, consort to Prince Loki Odinson of Asgard and Jotunheim, including a narrative of the birth, childhood, and rise to manhood of his son, Prince Thor Stark Lokason of the Isle of Manhattan, also called Trickster. Including that time Tony called Odin a pretentious prick to his face.
Notes: This is a sequel to Extremely Hot And Currently Female
, in which Tony fell in love with Loki and met his own time-travelling son. Here on DreamwidthHere on AO3
I am happy -- kind of -- to present to you my 2012 edition of Works No Longer In Progress. Super-short fics, fics I'm never going to finish, and odds and ends that didn't fit anywhere else. I did this last year and it was a lot of fun, and sometimes it inspires people to expand on stuff I don't have the time/energy/inclination to work on.

Fandoms: Avengers, Sherlock, Suits, White Collar, MerlinHere at DreamwidthHere at AO3.
Summary: Rhodey and Antonia, through the years.
Notes: This is a "timestamp" or side-story written for mremre
, who did me a solid and requested an Ironsides
story with Tony and Rhodey. It got to be a bit of a babyfic, but I'm surprisingly okay with that.
Ironsides is set in an alternate universe where Howard Stark married Peggy Carter and Tony was born female. Here at DreamwidthHere at AO3
Title: Black AmEx
Rating: PG (Gen)
Summary: Bruce isn't sure he wants to use a credit card Tony gave him. Steve isn't sure he even knows how
kept posting images of Mark Ruffalo, which made me realize that appearance-wise he oscillates between "indigent" and "fashion model" with absolutely no inbetween. I thought that was a pretty good inspiration for a fic. Here on Dreamwidth

Title: Victory Bonds
Rating: PG (for profanity)
Summary: The year is 1947, and Daily Planet front-pagers Clark Kent and "Louis" Lane are about to get the story of their careers, courtesy of the fledgling Justice League: the enigmatic Superman, the spy-turned-vigilante codenamed Bat, intelligence agent and newly minted Green Lantern Alan Scott, and Ambassador Diana, Princess of Themyscira.
Warnings: This story is set in postwar America, where DC characters have been recast as soldiers, Rosies, Nazis, Holocaust survivors, and spies. There are mentions of PTSD, discussion of Nazi death camps, insignia, and ideology, references to the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and brief incidences of anti-Semitism, racism, and sexism. I've tried to faithfully portray the era without getting gratuitous about it.
Dreamwidth: Chapter One
AO3: Chapter One
Rating: R (Steve/Tony)
Summary: Antonia Carter Stark takes no shit and no prisoners.
Warnings: Brief mention of torture; brief discussion of intimate partner violence and rape.

Fandom: Avengers (Movieverse)
Rating: PG-13 (for swears!)
Warnings: Spoilers for the movie; also, this is a fixit.
Summary: After the fighting is over, then come the hot baths, ice packs, resurrection from the dead, political maneuvering, and happy endings (not like that, Tony).( I think I should get a shot, Clint said. )Fake cut takes you to the fic at Dreamwidth.
Title: Fake Empires
Rating: PG-13 (Clark/Bruce)
Summary: Bruce Wayne can't possibly be as dumb as he acts, and Clark Kent isn't as ordinary as he appears.
Notes: This was written as payment for losing a bet with bluejeans07
. I can't divulge the nature of the bet, but I really just need to stop betting with that woman.
Moar Notes: I don't know the DCverse terribly well -- I haven't read 52, but I've read a portion of the Batman | Superman series. I wanted to do an identity-porn story without having to mess with too much canon, so this is mainly set in an imaginary universe early on in Batman and Superman's association.( I never did like wearing a tuxedo. Not enough color for me. )
Title: Extremely Hot And Currently Female
Rating: R (Tony/Loki)
Fandom: Avengers; kind of a comicsverse/movieverse mashup (aren't they all)
Summary: Tony knows he shouldn't sleep with Loki, it's just sometimes he's drunk and she's female and he forgets why.
Warnings: Everything is clearly consensual, but there is intoxicated sex, unsafe sex, and semi-public sex. WELL IT'S LOKI YOU GUYS COME ON.( "The first one's a freebie." )Fake cut takes you to the fic at Dreamwidth.
Rating: R (Steve/Tony)
Fandom: Avengers (heavy on the Captain America/Iron Man movieverses)
Summary: Steve Rogers is a capable leader, a kind and cheerful man, a good friend, a strong role model, and a loyal soldier. He's also teetering on the edge of suicide.
Warnings: Extensive discussion of grief, PTSD, some talk of suicidal impulses. Unwise drinking practices and some mention of alcoholism.( It's not that Tony is pissed Clint and Thor got Steve drunk... )Fake cut takes you to the fic at Dreamwidth.
